Hi, my name is Lynn and I am a Child & Adolescent Psychotherapist. I support the emotional wellbeing of children, young people up to the age of 18 and their families.
I am an Integrative therapist, which means I use words and the Arts with children as a way to access suppressed, painful or those feelings which just don’t have words yet. Some of the mediums I use are music, painting, clay, puppets and sandplay.
I can help children who are struggling with developmental trauma, depression, anxiety, attachment disorders, friendship problems, eating disorders, divorce, bereavement, to name just a few.
I am experienced in working with looked after children, adopted children and those in special guardian arrangements.
I also offer sessions for parents who are looking for new strategies and language to support their child through a difficult time, such as a new school, divorce or bereavement.
Support can also be helpful if the relationship between you and your child has become ‘stuck’. Thinking together about your own upbringing, your current parenting approach and language can bring about new ways in which to interact with your child, enriching your relationship.
I am a member of BACP and adhere to their ethical and professional guidelines. I am fully insured and have a full DBS, both are available to view on request.
I hold a Masters in Integrative Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy and a post graduate diploma in Using the Arts in Therapy & Education.
My fees are £50 for an initial assessment hour, this is a really important session for us both to decide whether we will work together.
£50 for ongoing sessions and £55 for any parent sessions.
If you would like to talk to me to know more about how I could help or to arrange an initial session, I can be contacted using the following details.
